Western Isles Combined Events Championships

A small NUAAC contingent (featuring special guest star Heather Mackinnon from SUEAAC) competed in the combined events championships (aka pentathlon) in Stornoway on the 25th June. It was a great day out.

We bid farewell to Joni and Danny Smith who are moving on to pastures new, possibly their last outing in blue and yellow, all the best to the Smiths from all at the club!

RAM League series

This year NUAAC have joined forces with our friends in Stornoway Athletics Club to create a joined team for the RAM Athletics League, in which a series of competitions are held over the summer months in both a North section and an East section. Teams with the the highest points from their three competitions head to a ‘finals’ competition. This year, our u13 boys and girls teams and our U15 boys team made it to the finals. Well done to everyone who took part over the series and we look forward to seeing how we get on in the finals.

Well done to everyone who braved the cold on the day. Thank you to MacAulay Askernish Ltd for sponsoring the series of events and also to Croft & Cuan for providing some well needed food and hot drinks afterwards!
